Nottinghamshire Farming and Wildlife Group (FWAG) wants to celebrate the environmental good works carried out on Nottinghamshire farms!   To do this it is showcasing the excellent farm conservation practices in the county with the launch of the Nottinghamshire Farm Environment Award 2022

The South Notts Branch of the National Farmers Union are sponsoring this year’s prize of £100 which will be presented to the winner with a specially-commissioned commemorative award.   The prize will be awarded across all nominations so farms and holdings of all types and sizes are eligible to enter, provided the business is run on a commercial basis in Nottinghamshire.

Phil Jarvis, NFU Environment Forum member representing the East Midlands  says “I have previously judged the Awards and enjoyed a fantastic day seeing the benefits the entrants hard work was providing for our wildlife.   The Awards give Notts farmers a brilliant opportunity to show the farming and wider community just what good work they are doing to protect the environment”.

If you know a farm that ought to be considered, including your own, tell Notts FWAG about it by filling in a simple nomination. For more information contact James Thompson, Notts FWAG Advisor jimvic3000@gmail.com  07765 888155  by 16th June 2022.
